The Centre for Islamic Studies Building will henceforth be called CIS Harmony Centre, which is in keeping with CIS’s mandate of reaching out to people of all faiths and serving as a hub for inter-faith engagement.
Plans are also afoot to set up a poster walkthrough in the Ahmed Deedat Auditorium in the ground floor of CIS Harmony Centre which will include colourful posters covering Muslim Contribution to Sri Lanka, Islamic Contribution to Science and the teachings of Islam on matters of tolerance, co-existence, human rights and women’s rights among other important topics.
CIS will also be continuing with its other outreach activities including regular mosque tours, poster exhibitions and production of outreach posters.
